An Awakening in Swaziland
Change Makers Experiential Learning Labs just returned from Swaziland, where we took 32 participants through a week-long process of developing a Communication for Development (C4D) Strategy incorporating human rights-based approaches (HRBAs) along the way. The result was an awakening of how 'business as usual' thwarts our work around social and behavior change programming, and what social change interventions would look and feel like if we all adopted a 'business UNusual' approach by always working from a rights-based perspective. The resulting strategy is the sole vision of Team Swazi, and we look forward to sharing updates as the team there begins the real work this Spring!
